Conditions We Treat
We treat a wide range of spine, joint, nerve, and head and face pain conditions. Find your condition below to see the treatments we offer.
Back, neck, and spine
The most common reasons patients come to see us.
Herniated and bulging discs
Disc material that bulges or ruptures can irritate nearby nerves, causing back or neck pain that may travel into a leg or arm.
Degenerative disc disease
Age-related loss of disc hydration and height that can cause chronic low back pain.
Vertebrogenic low back pain
Chronic low back pain from damaged vertebral endplates, identified by Modic changes on MRI.
Spinal and foraminal stenosis
Narrowing of the spinal canal or the openings where nerves exit, often causing leg pain or heaviness with standing or walking.
Sciatica and radicular pain
A pinched or inflamed nerve root causing pain, numbness, or tingling that radiates into an arm or leg.
Neck pain
Pain from cervical discs, facet joints, or pinched nerves, sometimes spreading into the shoulders and arms.
Facet joint arthritis
Arthritis in the small joints along the back of the spine, often worse with twisting, arching backward, or standing.
Sacroiliac joint pain
Pain from the joint where the spine meets the pelvis, often on one side of the low back, buttock, or hip.
Vertebral compression fractures
A collapsed vertebra, most often from osteoporosis, causing sudden or severe back pain.
Chronic mechanical low back pain
Back pain from loss of control of the spine’s stabilizing multifidus muscle.
Degenerative scoliosis
A spinal curve that develops as discs and joints wear unevenly, causing back and leg pain.
Persistent pain after spine surgery
Ongoing back or leg pain after surgery, sometimes called failed back surgery syndrome.
Head and face
Specialized care for headache and facial nerve pain.
Headache and migraine
Chronic migraine and headaches that start at the back of the head.
Trigeminal neuralgia and facial pain

Involuntary muscle contractions, such as cervical dystonia, that cause abnormal postures and pain.
Joints and muscles
Relief for arthritis and pain in the hips, knees, shoulders, and muscles.
Arthritis
Joint pain and stiffness from osteoarthritis in the hips, knees, shoulders, and other joints.
Knee pain

Pain from the hip joint, inflamed bursae, or nerves from the lower back.
Shoulder pain
Chronic shoulder pain from arthritis or other joint conditions.
Foot pain
Chronic foot pain, including pain from nerve damage.
Muscle pain and spasm
Tight, painful knots in muscle, known as myofascial pain.
Nerve pain
Advanced options for pain that comes from the nerves themselves.
Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS)
Severe, persistent pain, usually in an arm or leg, that develops after an injury and is out of proportion to it.
Painful diabetic neuropathy
Burning, tingling, or shooting pain in the feet and legs from diabetes-related nerve damage.
Phantom limb pain
Pain felt in a limb that has been amputated.
Nerve pain after surgery or injury
Persistent pain from a nerve that was injured or irritated by surgery or trauma.
