Frequently Asked Questions
-
We do require a referral for all new patients. Your primary care provider, neurosurgeon, or other provider can send or fax us your referral. It is helpful to include any recent imaging or lab results with your referral.
-
Your first visit will be with one of our physicians. The doctor will review your conditions and recommend relevant interventional, behavioral, physical, and medication treatment options. Note: If you are being referred specifically for an injection, please have your neurosurgeon or other specialist send a “Direct Injection Referral” to our doctors for faster scheduling. New patient appointments and injection visits do not happen on the same day.
-
We are a comprehensive pain clinic and offer multiple treatment options for our patients including medication management where appropriate. We follow all relevant federal and state guidelines with controlled substances. We also offer suboxone, sublocade, and other medication assisted treatment options for patients with a history of addiction. MAT referrals can be expedited upon request.

For existing patients, the Healow portal is the fastest, most secure way to get your questions answered and medication or procedure needs taken care of. We are also available at our main phone number, 479-323-0557. This phone system often receives hundreds of calls a day and we request your patience if you are unable to reach a person on the first call. Voicemails are typically returned same or next-day. Leaving multiple voicemails will slow the response time for you and all others, please only leave 1 message. If you have not heard back within 2 clinic days from your message or have an urgent need, please contact us via portal, or if unable to access the portal, the contact form on here, or facebook can be used to contact us with your name, date of birth, and phone number and we will reach out as soon as possible.

Our physicians try to maintain the broadest coverage network possible including most private insurances, as well as VA, Tricare, Medicaid, and Medicare. Limited worker’s compensation insurances are accepted by some of our physicians. Some private insurance companies or Medicare Advantage plans may have specific rules that affect your coverage or access to care. United Healthcare is accepted at our clinics, but you may have difficulty finding local hospitals or procedure centers in-network with UHC. Please reach out to our staff for any specific coverage questions.

Procedures are performed at ambulatory surgery centers and hospital facilities in Mountain Home, Arkansas and Harrison, Arkansas. Depending on your preference and insurance coverage, Outpatient Surgery Center Inc, Baxter Health Outpatient Surgery Center, and North Arkansas Regional Medical Center may be offered as locations to schedule your procedure. All of our procedures are same-day, outpatient type procedures and typically do not require overnight stays or extended recovery time.
